Let me help you to remember. Mother to Mother. I’ll take the pictures, you take a breather and enjoy your precious kiddos.
There are a seemingly endless number of tasks in every week and quiet, joyful moments can be fleeting or non-existent. But then your baby sticks her tongue out for the first time, or your five-year-old recites something beautiful, and it stops you in your tracks.
As you watch your children unfold into their own little people, you commit as much as possible to your memory to enjoy again later, when you can finally slow down (as if!).

I will guide you the entire time and make the best of whatever challenges arise. This allows you to be the real, genuine you — both collectively and as individuals — and to get the best possible photos!
My goal is to put you and your family at ease and make your experience fun and painless. I know that some husbands and older kids dislike having portraits taken, so I tackle this with spontaneous and organic vignettes where everyone can just be themselves.
My approach is natural, relational, and candid. Let’s run, jump, chase, tumble, toss, walk, laugh, sing, shout, and goof around. Vibrant, dynamic images are my goal, and movement and authentic interaction is how we are going to get them!

I love flying on airplanes, traveling anywhere with ruins or cool old architecture, and growing things like houseplants and flower gardens. I have 4 kids, 4 cats, a dog and a fish. My favorite 4 months were the ones I spent living in Mexico with the whole crew –the kids went to a Spanish-only private school. Their ability to speak Spanish is one of my favorite parenting accomplishments.

I want this to be a great experience for you — for all of you! I want you to move, laugh, play, and hang out with your kids, while I capture the seemingly ordinary with great care and attention to detail.
Prior to your shoot, we'll brainstorm your location options together, accounting for season, light, time of day, and weather. We'll talk about your aesthetic preferences and choose styles & clothing that best reflect your family’s unique style. And when we shoot, I'll do everything I can to set you at ease and let your authentic self show through.

About 2-3 weeks after your shoot, you'll receive an online gallery where to download your images and order prints. You can post them online, but the most important step is to print & hang your beautiful images, so you can enjoy them everyday!

Before your shoot day, we'll cover what to wear and choose a location & time. On your shoot day, I'll help everyone get comfortable in front of the camera and walk you through the process step-by-step, so you can just relax and enjoy!

Once I receive your form, I'll give you a call or send you an email to go over the process and answer any questions. Then I'll send you a quote and a contract, and if you want to proceed, you can fill them out online and submit with a deposit.

The first step is to fill out my contact form with your contact information and details about your family. You can share inspiration for your shoot in the comment section if you have ideas already, or we can brainstorm ideas when we chat!

Sure! As long as they are well-behaved and will sit in your car when not being photographed. Dogs make for great photos!
Can I bring my dog?
Keep it neutral, avoid competing patterns, and don’t get too matchy-matchy! Go for simple color palettes and dress in the same color family, not identical. This will help each member of your family show off their personalities and unique fashion sensibilities! Feel free to send outfit ideas and we can figure out what will photograph the best!
What should we wear?
I have lots of experience with people who hate cameras! Reassure your loved one that I will make this fun and painless!
What if my husband/teen/etc hates having their photo taken?
There are a multitude of beautiful spots around the lowcountry. Feel free to suggest some of your favorites, and we can figure out where the best light will be on your chosen portrait date. The best light is at sunrise and sunset, most days, and the very worst light is between 10am and 2pm. I usually suggest meeting an hour or so before sunset, depending on the size of your group.
